Cassandre and Alex’s beautiful chapel wedding at Bram Leigh Receptions

Bram Leigh Receptions Wedding

On a beautiful and typically changeable Autumn Melbourne Saturday in April 2017, Cassandre and Alex celebrated their love and tied the knot at their Bram Leigh Receptions wedding.  With the ceremony taking place in the sweet little chapel, friends and family filled every bit of space to see Cassie and Alex married.

Preparations were at a family home for Alex and the groomsmen, while Cassie got ready with the girls and her lovely family at a cute B&B nearby.

Then it was on to Bram Leigh Receptions for the ceremony, photos and the extremely upbeat reception. And when you’re a former national champion Dancesport star, how could you leave out an awesome choreographed first dance with Dad. Dad definitely had some moves – I haven’t actually asked Alex about this, but seeing what Cassie and her Dad did on the dancefloor, personally I would have wanted to stay on the sidelines! I’m not sure he was even in on the dance though, because as soon as it was over it was awesome to see him jump to his feet and congratulate them on the great performance.

Congratulations again Cassandre and Alex – hope you like the shots! 🙂

Donna and Justin’s beautiful celebration at Gum Gully Farm

Gum Gully Farm Wedding

In March 2017 I was asked to photograph Donna and Justin’s big day, capturing their Gum Gully Farm wedding celebration. And what a lovely celebration it was, with an intimate group of family and friends on hand to witness their touching ceremony.

With Donna and Justin keeping things very low-key, we kept the photography to just include the ceremony itself, and a short portrait sessions afterwards. And with the Melbourne Autumn weather threatening, the ceremony was moved inside the chapel, but I think that might have been a great move – the chapel is just so cosy!

After the ceremony we had a chance to visit with some of the lovely deer at the farm, which was a highlight for all the kids in the family as well as (I suspect) Donna and Justin – they couldn’t take the smiles off their faces if that is any indication 🙂

Congrats Donna and Justin!

Anastasia and Darren’s gorgeous Spring wedding at Ballara Receptions and Tokar Estate

Anastasia and Darren - Tokar Estate

On Sunday morning early, it was such a pleasure to photograph Anastasia and Darren’s wedding at Ballara Receptions, followed by lunch (and a few more photos) at stunning Tokar Estate, just down the road in Coldstream.

Anastasia and her bridesmaids all arrived in a long white limo at 10.30am on the dot, including bridesmaid/groomsmaid(?) Carly. Definitely a family affair with the 6 combined children all acting as the bridal party, truly a modern merged family 🙂

Obviously a couple very much in love, their simple vows and ring exchange were the central part of the ceremony (conducted by the lovely Meriki Comito), in front of around 50 family and friends.

Just a sneak peek for Anastasia and Darren – hope you enjoy!

Tokar Estate, Coldstream

After taking around 30 minutes worth of shots at Ballara, it was off to Tokar Estate (also in the Yarra Valley) for some more shots on the amazing grounds there. We didn’t have a huge amount of time before lunch, just enough to slip out while guests were having canapes, and grab a quick 15 minutes or so outside. The weather was holding out – it was to be the only sunny day amongst about 14 days of rain and showers. A brilliant sunny Spring day in Melbourne, it was so pleasing that the weather held out for such a lovely and friendly couple and their family and guests.
