It was lovely to be back for another Immerse Winery wedding, this time to celebrate the union of Jess and Michael – it seemed like a long time ago they booked with me, and when I checked it was, all the way back in January! Almost a year on and it was great to catch up with them again for their big day.
Preparations were at family homes for both of them – which was super handy for all of us, as they were literally walking distance from each other in Eltham.
Then it was on to Immerse, with stunning views from the top of the property always a highlight for shots afterwards. I can’t claim credit for the champagne – that was Michael’s idea! And having the ceremony out in the garden was the perfect choice for a bright sunny Melbourne summer day.
It was absolutely brilliant to have been asked to photography Dafnie and Daniel’s beautiful Immerse wedding celebration on Saturday.
When I arrived to get started with the guys’ preparations, a more relaxed and laid-back group I could not have found. Nervous? Maybe a little. Excited? Most definitely. Laid-back? Absolutely 🙂
Moving across to the beautiful bridal suite at Immerse where Dafnie and the girls were getting ready, things were also very calm, and it was a very friend-and-family included preparations, with family coming and going between rooms and friends sharing the getting-ready time with the lovely bride and groom.
It turned out to be a (mostly) sunny day among terrible weather days, and I was so pleased for Dafnie and Daniel that they got the day they wanted – a little cloud and a little wind, but other than that a pretty warm and sunny Spring day!
Also, the leaves are just starting to come out all across the Valley, and Immerse is no exception – little leaves on all the vines made for a traditional shot down the valley including the beautiful grape vines in rows.
A brilliant day and a very happy couple – congrats D2 🙂
