Potters Receptions, Sanaz and Ali

Potters Receptions wedding, bride and groom

Potters Receptions

Sanaz and Ali both got ready at the awesome Potters in Warrandyte. Grey suits for the guys, complete with cufflinks and black ties. Ali got ready with his groomsmen and a couple of other friends were also there to help out.
Sanaz was getting ready just a few doors down, and the girls helped her into that beautiful dress. There were lots of smile and laughs with the girls, and a few visitors also helped bring some fun.

About 80 or so guests watched the ceremony, which was held in the gorgeous little chapel. After the ceremony the bride and groom took the opportunity to walk all the way down the aisle, and then around the back of the chapel to greet guests, take a group shot and some formal portraits.

We shot bridal portraits around the beautiful Potters grounds, and then headed off to the winery to catch a few moments there as well. I particularly love the shot of Sanaz and Ali under the veil, and some of the big sky worked great as well.

A great reception then followed, with some lovely speeches and LOTS of dancing – especially by the bride 🙂

Potters Receptions

I’d met with Tash a while before the wedding, and it was great to shoot at Potters Receptions for the first time back in early 2013.

I didn’t cover James’ preparations, but I did head down to Tash’s preparations spot for some quick “getting ready” shots before heading up to Potters where the girls were going to finish getting ready in the Gallery  (which is one of the highlights of Potters in my opinion).

Peach bridesmaids dresses for Tash’s wedding – they looked great.

The ceremony was conducted by the great John Byrne whom I seem to enjoy seeing several times a year! This ceremony included a hand-binding ceremony which has Celtic roots, which always rings a bell for me given we have some Scottish heritage.

A group shot out the back of the chapel and some family portraits, and then we were off to shoot some bridal images in the beautiful February sunshine.

I wasn’t asked to cover the reception on this occasion, but I did sneak in some quick cake shots to make sure there were some memories captured there.
