About MP

Weddings are a special time

Wedding Photography is an art

It’s about capturing the special moments

both big and small

Millgrove Photography

Yarra Valley based, photographing weddings everywhere

When it came time to start a business of our own, it was natural to turn to where my skills and training lay - the passion for capturing weddings came later.

Wedding days are so special.

Experience counts when creating

Beautiful, natural, candid images

All weddings, big and small

We have packages to suit all weddings, because we know that weddings come in all shapes and sizes. From a registry office ceremony and some family shots in the garde, all the way through to your Big Fat Greek Wedding - we have a package to suit everybody.

Experience

With nearly 400 weddings experience and countless engagement and couple shoots, I've covered most types of weddings in many, many different venues. Knowing where to be, and when to be there, is so important on a wedding day.

We work together

I'm not precious - let's just put that out there right now! I'm a down-to-earth guy who will help you feel relaxed and enjoy the day. I'm not going to pose you in awkward spots, I'm not going to make you do anything you're not comfortable with, and I'm not going to make your photos a hassle on the day. I'm there - for you.

Happy Couples

What makes me believe in myself is the feedback that comes from each wedding, the testimonials, the Facebook ratings and the lovely comments that people add when rating what we do - our Reviews page makes me happy knowing that we were a small part of so many couples' big day, and capturing that day for them mattered, and that they loved the photos and experience.

    Graduated Uni

Way back in 1998, I graduated from Deakin Uni where I had been studying Photography and Filmmaking. We were all shooting on film, small and large format, and processing our own B&W negatives and prints. Digital cameras were just starting to make an appearance.

    Moves, management and little men

A new role suddenly results in a move to the UK, then Scotland, before ending up back in Melbourne. Various jobs in sales and management, before something very important - the arrival of our amazing kids.

    I'm a ... photographer?

A family holiday to Annie's home in Denmark leads to a realisation - something has to give. I need a job that will allow me more freedom to be with our family, and maybe work from home. What have I studied? Photography. And I loved it. Let's try that?
Lots of trying to get photography work followed - kinders, corporate, portraits, weddings - wait, I couldn't really do weddings, could I?

    First (paid) wedding gigs

20 weddings in our first year - from a slowish start, one thing leads to another and experience starts to build. From being petrified before every wedding, I'm now starting to realise that "hey, people actually seem to like what I'm doing - maybe I can do this after all ... "

    First Award

Highly Commended at the Brides Choice Awards - to say I was surprised and excited is an understatement - hadn't even realised I would be nominated. Awards are for real photographers, aren't they?
