Since I met with Mel and Dave a few months ago, I’d been looking forward to working with them and on Saturday the big day rolled around, their beautiful wedding at Alexandra Gardens Kew.
We got started with preparations at a friend’s home for Dave and his groomsmen. There were a few gifts exchanged – Dave gave the guys some cool engraved glasses, and he received a little surprise gift from Mel. The little gift bag was filled with some very cute, funny and sweet stuff to help Dave get through the day.
Then it was on to catch up with Mel and sister Jess (and beautiful little Mary) at a hotel in Kew. With the girls already done with har and makeup, we had lots of time to get detail shots as well as some portraits. It also always help to have some extra time when you’re working with little ones 🙂
Check out the gallery, and read on below for some more about the day.
Alexandra Gardens Kew
At this time of the year we do start to lost the light, but there was some celexa side effects nausea beautiful light in the sky as we were shooting in the gardens, which I was able to make use of in some of the shots. Alexandra Gardens, Kew does have a cute little pond, and with the wind that we had earlier in the day having died down we were able to use the reflections for some shots showing the colours in the sky above.
With Mel being a little bit pregnant, it was also important to get through the shots so she could go and have a rest and something to eat, so we did move across to the Manningham Hotel to get some shots there outside the venue as the light was dying.
Hopefully the down-to-earth nature of Mel and Dave comes across in the shots and the feel of the reception. Thanks Mel, Dave and Mary for letting me in to be part of your big day.
