It was awesome to see the bright yellow Corvette coming down Bourke St., as I was waiting with the kids outside St Augustine’s for Melissa’s arrival. The car was a special present for Melissa’s nephew, knowing he was going to love having Bumblebee bring her to the wedding.
It wasn’t end of the car surprises either, with some of the kids making their entrance by mini-BMW – a first for me as a wedding snapper, as well as Father Vic from St Augustine’s according to him.
A very special and personal ceremony followed on with several nice touches, including the rings being blessed and the special blessing given to Melissa and Jason by their parents at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Melissa and Jason’ didn’t want to spend too much time away from their guests, so a quick trip across town to Hosier Lane and a candid shots in Flinders Lane and in front of some landmarks (including down by St Paul’s Cathedral) completed our express photo session! Then it was on to the reception at Mr. Mason.
I hadn’t been to Mr. Mason before, what a great little restaurant and wiht a perfect vibe for a laid-back and informal reception.
Great wedding, great fun couple, thanks again for engaging me to photography your wedding Mel and Jason – enjoy the shots 🙂
