I’d been looking forward to shooting at Marybrooke Manor again ever since Kylie and Scott came to visit and book me and pre-order their album all the way back in June last year.
I was lucky enough to be able to cover the entire day from absolute start to finish – with the guys getting ready, the girls, ceremony, portraits, and right throughout the Marybrooke Manor reception. Had a brilliant day with them, such a laid-back group that was so easy to work with.
This was previewed on facebook a few days after the wedding, just getting around to posting the blog post now!
It was a super-laid-back start to the day with Scott and the guys, getting ready at a friend’s house and just chilling out together. After some shots inside of getting ready, we made some use of the garden and outside with one of the cars, and there were some great wine barrels for me to use for the ring and detail shots, in a perfect spot with great light.
On to catch up with the girls and everything was definitely in full swing with hair and makeup nearly finished. Kylie was getting ready with her beautiful bridesmaids and Mum and Dad and some friends were there as well to help out. I really love the shot of Kylie just lit by the light coming through the door, looking down at her bouquet, and a couple using the unique mirror – they’re quite unusual and the mirror really added to that.
Then it was on to Marybrooke Manor, for a ceremony in the gardens just in front of the house, making use of the beautiful backdrop that is the building itself. And it must be a Dandenong’s thing to arrive in horse and cart, I seem to see it quite often up there!
