Julie and Damien’s amazing winery wedding at Wild Cattle Creek

I’ve been looking forward to Julie and Damien’s wedding since they booked earlier in the year, and it was all going to happen at a beautiful venue close to home here, the Yarra Valley Weddings venue Wild Cattle Creek.

Wild Cattle Creek

I arrived around 1.30pm and met up with Damien and his groomsmen. Everything was quite relaxed as everyone had their feet up and taking things super easy – a good way to start a wedding day, enjoying a couple of beers and chatting with old and good friends in the suites at Wild Cattle Creek.

I got to work on the detail and preparation shots, and while the guys got ready we were waiting for the girls to arrive back from hair and makeup, along with the Mums and Nanny.

Both Julie and Damien had gifts for their bridal party, a pretty awesome shave set for the guys and some beautiful little mirrors for the girls – very cool.

Around 100 friends and guests were steadily arriving as the girls also arrived back, and they got straight into getting dressed while I did detail shots of their accessories – with around an hour to go until the wedding they did a brilliant job to get ready in time.

Because all of the guests, including the groom and groomsmen, were arriving and outside, Julie wanted to make sure she wasn’t spotted pre-wedding, so we did all of the prep shots for the girls in the bedroom – which made it an interesting bedroom with 3 girls and Mum getting dressed, as well as family shots and bridesmaids 🙂

After a quick work with awesome Melbourne Celebrant Bianca Paliaga it was nearly time to go – and time for me to change memory cards and lenses, and get ready for Julie’s arrival.

A very touching ceremony was conducted by Bianca, and there were lots of tears and tissues needed – and that was just the bridal party 🙂

Then it was off for an express bridal party shoot among the vines and grounds of Wild Cattle Creek, including from the beautiful terrace overlooking the pond.

After that, it was into the reception, and time for a party. Julie and Damien did an amazing job to get around to all their guests for a chat, as well as saving some time for the dancefloor.

I know they’re heading off to the honeymoon soonish, so enjoy these before you head off guys – and congrats!
