Christina and Marc’s awesome wedding at All Smiles Melbourne Waterfront

All Smiles Melbourne Docklands

On Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing Christina and Marc’s wedding at All Smiles Melbourne Waterfront, which we’d been planning and discussing for around 18 months or so. A couple of changes of dates hadn’t managed to get in the way of it, in fact I think I initially had them booked with another photographer when it turned out I was available on their new date.

So it was brilliant to be able to meet up with them for preparations at Crown Towers, and then just a short drive across to All Smiles Melbourne Waterfront for the the ceremony in front of the amazing view out across the bay.

The weather was an absolute killer, in fact it snowed on the hills up here near home, so I reckon Christina and the girls did brilliantly well even to get outside for some shots. And when the rain stopped later in the evening we were able to use the sculptures just outside the venue for some night shots which I knew they were keen on.

Hope you enjoy the preview – congratulations again Christina and Marc! 🙂

All Smiles Docklands Wedding

All Smiles Docklands

All Smiles Docklands – Dani and Dan tied the knot at Albert Park Baptist Church last Sunday, with guests and family coming from far and wide.

Dani and Dan were down from Sydney and I’d met them for coffee a few months earlier to catch up.

Beautiful  bride Dani got ready at her Mum’s house, which was big, bright, light, and perfect for hair and makeup and wedding preparation photography. And I absolutely loved the lace shoulder straps on her dress – absolutely beautiful and in contrast to the many strapless gown that are in fashion at the moment.

I caught up with Dan and the guys at the church, the very beautiful Albert Park Baptist Church. I’ve driven, ridden my bike, and run past that church so many times I couldn’t count them, and it was amazing to go inside and see how bright and happy a space it is.

The bridesmaids were absolutely glowing as they came down the aisle, and so was Dani. A beautiful service followed, and then outside into the bright sunshine for a huge group shot outside the church.

During our planning we’d talked a lot about locations, and we headed down to the beautiful Plane Tree Walk at the Fitzroy Gardens which is a popular spot for wedding photography, for a good reason. And for a couple from Sydney, there will be very few in Sydney with those shots 🙂

It was then on to All Smiles at Docklands where I stayed for part of the reception as Dani and Dan had requested, to cover their speeches, cake cutting and first dance.

A beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding to match. And it was so awesome to be able to capture some images that I’ve been excited about making for a while.
