Jones Road Winery
Kathryn and Josh’s wedding at the picturesque Jones Road Winery on the Mornington Peninsula was an extremely laid-back affair, with the wedding celebrated by around 50 or so close friends and family.
I got there early and met Rob who was looking after things at Jones Road Winery for Kathryn and Josh. I was able to photograph most of the details in the beautiful little restaurant before anyone arrived, as an extra little bonus.
The decision to hold the ceremony inside the Jones Road Winery tasting room was made after Josh, Rob,the celebrant Kate Haley and I had a number of conferences outside and inside, but we all agreed it was just too cold for everyone to be sitting outside. With the winter sea wind starting to whistle around the little vineyard, it was much cosier to be inside the beautiful restaurant by the fire 🙂
Kathryn and Josh had just a week or so flown in from Prague where they’d been working, so all our chats beforehand had been via email. It was great to catch up with celexa side effects vomiting Kathryn on the phone and put a voice to the name, although we didn’t actually get to meet until she arrived. When she did arrive though, she was all smiles and with her bridesmaids and Dad to help keep veils and dress from misbehaving, we were ready for a wedding.
After a very cosy and personal ceremony, everyone was kind enough to brave the cold again – Kathryn and Josh definitely wanted to get a group shot, which we were able to do overlooking the vineyard. Then a few quick formal family portraits and we could get some shots of the newlyweds on their own.
A beautiful sunset was developing and we used the last of the day’s light to capture a few portraits before they decided the cold and dark had got too much – a drink or two and the open fires inside the winery were just looking too good.
