Megan and Mark’s stunning wedding celebration overlooking Yarra Ranges Estate

Bride and groom at a winery wedding at a vineyard

It was an honour to have been asked to photograph Megan and Mark’s reception and at Yarra Ranges Estate wedding, and to have the opportunity to shoot a first-look as well is always an extra special moment.

Mark I have known for a long time – we went to school together (although a few years apart, and too many years ago!). When he contacted me to have a chat about the possibility of me covering his wedding to the lovely Megan, it was great to meet her and catch up with him again, as it had been a few years since we were in touch on anything other than Facebook.

So we caught up, and after chatting things through, it was awesome to hear that they wanted me to cover the wedding at the beautiful Yarra Ranges Estate. We even had the opportunity to do a pre-wedding shoot in the Redwood forest up here near home (more to be shown on that later … )

Breakfast and prep with the guys, preparations for the girls at an absolutely stunning B&B in Kallista, followed by a first-look and then on to an amazing wedding, surrounded by friends and family – absolutely brilliant.

Here’s a sneak preview Megan and Mark – hope you love them, and congratulations!

Yarra Ranges Estate Wedding

The venue was the Yarra Ranges Estate, and the weather turned out one of those Melbourne Autumn days perfect for a big-sky wedding – http://yarrarangesestate.com.au/

The touching ceremony was conducted by the very lovely Bronte Price, who was an absolute pleasure to work with – http://gaycelebrant.melbourne/ or http://bronteprice.com.au/

Great to catch up with videographer Anthony from Video Boutique after a few years of not working together, always easy to work with – https://www.videoboutique.com.au/

A bit more about Yarra Ranges Estate weddings …

From the vineyard to the stunning bluestone walls and interiors, a wedding at Yarra Ranges Estate has loads of opportunities for great wedding shots. As the bride comes down the stairs, the guests get a long look at the whole bridal party as they come down the aisle to the arbor, perfect placed to frame you in front of the stunning view of the vineyard.

There are also a few hidden secret spots around the grounds (and just outside) that can offer some real variety to your wedding images.

The reception room also has awesome views over the vineyard and valley and is equally beautiful after the sun goes down. And some of the best “cheese cakes” I’ve ever seen have been on show – there’s something about those wheels-of-cheese cakes that just speaks to us cheese lovers! 🙂
