Although we eventually had an awesome party at Maia Docklands, we started off Kate and Jason’s wedding day with them getting ready at home, and then on to the beautiful Dome at 333 Collins St, right in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Here is a sneaky preview of the shots from the day – read more below the post if you’d like to hear some more stories from the day.
Maia Docklands and The Dome @ 333 Collins
Starting out in Strathmore at 8.50am was definitely an early start, but the guys were all ready to go and soon got into the swing of things.
Then it was all the way back across to Box Hill to catch up with the lovely Kate and her beautiful bridesmaids – who were all looking amazing and brilliantly on time. Good work everyone!
Unfortunately (for me) all the good work and planning to be perfectly on time was cancelled out by incredible traffic in the city – I had time to get parked and into the ceremony in plenty of time, but wow the traffic in this generic celexa 40 mg city is getting worse.
Kate arrived looking amazing, and you could tell from the faces of a proud Dad and proud soon-to-be husband that they thought so as well 🙂
After the ceremony we got some shots up and Campari House while everyone chilled out for a short while. Then it was on to Hosier Lane, where some very lucky graffiti was in keeping with the day. And one of my favourite little spots down in Treasury Gardens, across the road from the busiest wedding photography spots in Melbourne, is a very private, beautiful and always-deserted place to get away from the crowd.
And what can you say about Maia? It’s my first time shooting there, and I was blown away by the modern simplicity and lighting. What a brilliant venue.
