Chateau Wyuna Mount Evelyn was the venue for Claire and Scott’s absolutely brilliant wedding last Saturday.
Both Claire and Scott were getting ready at Clarion on Canterbury, so we all met up there so I could get detail shots and photograph everyone getting ready – starting with the guys. A couple of beers and some food (delivered by the lovely bridesmaids and gratefully accepted by the fellas) added to the relaxed vibe.
Then I headed up the stairs to where Claire and the girls were getting ready. A super-relaxed and quiet room – there was a lot of quiet focus and excitement. Although there was a lot of laughter these was definitely a real sense of excitement in the room. Then we were all off down the road to Mount Evelyn, to meet up at gorgeous Chateau Wyuna for the wedding ceremony.
Thanks again Claire and Scott for having me as a small part of your day, hope you love these shots. You were all such a pleasure to work with, hope you had a brilliant day.

A few words about Chateau Wyuna Mount Evelyn weddings
Chateau Wyuna is located just about an hour from the CBD, nestled at the foot of the Dandenongs, and surrounded by beautiful gum trees and gardens.
Chateau Wyuna has multiple great options for the wedding ceremony. The outdoor pergola is a gorgeous spot in good weather, and for a smaller group the waterfall is a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony backdrop. The historic, heritage listed chapel is surprisingly bright inside and is a brilliant option given Melbourne’s predictably-unpredictable weather.
Photography options for a Chateau Wyuna wedding are everywhere, from the waterfall and bridge, through to the amazing gums that line the long driveway. As the dark falls, we can use the log cabin bridal suite with it’s open log fire and cosy warmth – and the mezzanine is one of my favourite spots for shots of the always-busy dance floor.
