Laura and Adrian tied the knot in a Lorne Beach Pavilion Wedding, under sunny skies (and a hot sun!) in early March 2019.
Some years earlier I'd photographed Laura's sister Emily's wedding, and I was absolutely thrilled to have been asked to cover Laura and Adrian's big day as well. It's always so awesome to photograph a couple of weddings within the family, to catch up again with couples and often meet their new little ones!
Rather than try and make the drive down on the morning, I headed down to Apollo Bay the day before, and went by the Lorne Beach Pavilion on the way through just to re-connect with it and check out how the decorating was coming along :) Then next morning I started early, and headed back up the Great Ocean Road to meet up with Adrian and the guys as they got ready for the wedding.
Then it was on to meet up with the beautiful Laura and family at Mantra where they were preparing with lots of laughter, music and smiles - in fact the whole day was just so happy and fun and such a pleasure to be a small part of.
And the Reception absolutely rocked! With family dances out on the beach, the sun finally gave us all a rest and set during the first dance and speeches and it was just a perfect Autumn evening for a beach wedding. And wouldn't have been complete without that sparkler exit!
