Celeste and Derek tied the knot on an absolutely stunning Melbourne Autumn day at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, right in the heart of beachside St Kilda. The rooftop ceremony location was bathed in golden-hour light for the ceremony and family shots afterwards, while the reception was held in the Harbor room just downstairs.
More about the day in the captions below – check out the images below. Thanks again and all the best Celeste and Derek 🙂
Absolutely loved these gorgeous earrings – beauiful simplicity.Always handy to have the girls nearby to be a help on the big day. Bride Celeste and her awesome team of helpers 🙂 The sun just starting to set behind Groom Derek and his tribe as this stunning Autumn day wound towards the evening … … but it was just enough to have gorgeous light throughout the ceremony and for some family and friend shots afterwards. Sunset at the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, overlooking the bay and the beach – what an amazing backdrop for this kind, lovely couple. Just loved this smile on Derek’s face – can’t remember what was being said but it obviously gave them both a warm-and-fuzzy feel. Speeches are always a highlight for me, and from a photography point of view, I just love the way the Harbour Room works in that you can get that reflection of all the guests listening in … … and I have space to work with angles and shoot through the crowd, to get these moments. This dance was something that had been choreographed and and practiced during Uni time together – I thoughtis was almost a flash mob at first before twigging that it had been talked about in the speeches.Grea job everyone on remembering the moves! 😛
