Emu Bottom – Casey and Luke
Last Friday it happened – the long-awaited wedding of Casey and Luke at Emu Bottom in Sunbury. Having virtually booked out the Gisborne Motel with friends and family, we spent the early afternoon shooting preparation shots. As with many Melbourne winter weddings, the weather was a hot topic of conversation as we were dodging heavy showers and very cold weather. You might be able to sense the guys shivering through some of the early shots!
On to Emu Bottom, and a very cosy and intimate ceremony in the Slab Hut (both beautiful open fires were going to keep everyone warm), followed by reception in the Woolshed. But before that, we used the last of the winter light to get some shots around the homestead, and everyone in the bridal party did so well to enjoy the shoot. A huge thanks for everyone for working with me so well, and for being so friendly and “can do” despite the cold 🙂
Always such a pleasure to be able to capture the special day for such a great couple and have a few laughs with their lovely families and friends.
