Not too long ago it was my privilege to photograph Jess and Kyle’s beautiful Marybrooke Manor wedding, high up in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges.
We started with preparations shots at a friend’s property in nearby Kallista – down some roads I’m fairly sure I’ve never driven on, despite travelling around the mountain for the better part of my life!
Then it was on to Marybrooke Manor to catch up with the guys for a quick pre-wedding shoot before the girls arrived. A quick bit of liquid courage by bride Jess before getting out of the car – just wondering now, is that why she had the giggles during the ceremony? On reflection, I don’t think so – more likely just super happy 🙂
Congrats Jess and Kyle!

A little bit more about Marybrooke Manor …
Marybrooke Manor is an absolutely beautiful building set high up on Mount Dandenong, with so many great wedding photography spots it’s hard to list them all.
With several different options available for the ceremony, including a beautiful function room overlooking the grounds, you’re safe no matter what the weather – and let’s face it, in Melbourne, that is a reality!
I’ve covered weddings at Marybrooke upstairs in the function room, down on the beautiful lawn outside the building, as well as down further in the gazebo with it’s stunning Autumn foliage and “private hidden garden feel”.
There’s just not a bad spot for photos there – everywhere you look there’s another great shot waiting to be captured, be that the whole wedding-party-tribe or just a couple on their own, there’s so much to see – more opportunities than there is time!
And to top it off, the staff are absolutely great to deal with and the food is spot-on – what more could you want!?
