Check Out Jess And Mitch’s Love-filled Wedding At Beautiful Must-See Poets Lane

On a perfect Melbourne Autumn day, Jess and Mitch tied the knot in a Poets Lane wedding celebration.

I first met Jess and Mitch way back in May last year. Although we’ve chatted on and off during that time, it was great to catch up with them again at Poets Lane as all their wedding plans – and mine for their photos – started to fall into place.

With bride and groom wanting to keep their wedding photography as low-key and natural as possible, we kept to some candid getting-ready shots – although I did manage to squeeze some posed portraits in there – and detail shots.

Then it was on to the ceremony where Jess and Mitch’s dogs were to play a role in delivering the rings. Although it didn’t quite go according to plan, the dogs were still amazingly well behaved throughout the wedding ceremony and even posed for some of their own shots afterwards 🙂

Enjoy out the sneak peek below – congratulations again Jess and Mitch!

A bit more about Poets Lane

Situated high up in the Dandenongs, but only an hour or so from Melbourne, sits Poets Lane Wedding Receptions. This beautiful venue has both indoor and outdoor options, with a stunning chapel for those days when Melbourne just won’t behave, and a gorgeous gazebo out in the gardens if garden weddings are more your thing.

With space for up to 170 guests, and a reception room overlooking amazing ferns and gardens, you also have lots of accommodation on-site so that guests have the option to stay over. We’ve often had couples also choose to get ready on-site, meaning no travel from where you’re getting ready to the ceremony.

One of our favourite venues for photography, there are just so many options that you have opportunities for lots of different looks, as well as those special night photos either on the bridge or in the lit-up gardens, which are spectacular at night.
