Carlene and Jarrod’s Summer wedding on Spirit Station Pier, Melbourne

Spirit Station Pier wedding

What a day on Saturday for Carlene and Jarrod’s awesome beachside wedding at the beautiful Spirit Station pier. I spent the morning with Carlene and her lovely bridesmaids while they got ready for the wedding.

I’d joked with Jarrod a couple of nights ago on the phone, talking about the excitement before the wedding and that perhaps we might need to fly in come valium if anyone needed calming down – to which he replied that could probably be arranged, with both bride and groom (and many of the guests) being pharmacists 🙂 It wasn’t required though of course, the girls were relaxed and arrived at the pier bang on time.

The only issue was that a strong southerly had also decided that 2pm would be a great time to visit the Bay – did I mention it was a strong wind? It didn’t matter though as Carlene and Jarrod’s beautiful vows, special words to each other and looks of love were entirely unaffected. With everyone taking the weather as it came – as we must do in Melbourne – it actually made the ceremony very memorable, and meant that quiet words between the couple were even more special – as celebrant Rita pointed out, no one more than 2 feet away could have heard them in any case!

Then it was on to the Vibe Savoy on Little Collins St for some drinks, dancing, and speeches.

Check out the images below and we hope you enjoy them – congratulations again Carlene and Jarrod!
