Meagan and Grant’s awesome Yarra Valley winery wedding at Two Brookes’ Bistro, Seville

Late in October 2016, our friends Meagan and Grant got married, and I was lucky enough to be able to capture their big day. With the ceremony and reception held at Two Brookes Bistro, tucked away down a side road off the Warburton Highway, friends and family came together for a brilliant afternoon wedding and evening celebration.

Having known this lovely couple for a few years now, we’d obviously had lots of discussions about the upcoming wedding, and I knew that they weren’t keen on extended photo sessions 🙂 . So we kept the photography time to a minimum, to give them the maximum possible time to enjoy the reception. In fact, I think if I let Meagan have her way there wouldn’t be any post-ceremony shots at all – although she looked beautiful in the custom-designed gown she’s definitely not someone who wanted to take over photo time!

Decorations were carefully considered to fit the rustic theme which was a great match for Two Brookes Bistro, and for a very laid-back and Aussie wedding without a lot of hype or too much formality. And for a change, I got to put down the cameras for the reception and enjoy a Saturday night out with Annie at a wedding. We left most of the reception photography to Shannon from Music with Memories 🙂 with the blessing of the bride and groom, of course!
